Ben completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement Studies at the University of Queensland and began his career as a Physical Education, Mathematics and Science teacher in rural Queensland. Ben has also gained international experience, teaching for a year in schools in Central and South London.

Whilst teaching, Ben began studying a Bachelor of Commerce with a finance major through the University of Southern Queensland and, after moving to Launceston in early 2005 joined Investor Financial Planning.

Ben worked as a planwriter preparing strategy and investment advice for clients whilst also completing his Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning. Ben has recently completed his Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning through FINSIA.
