During Derek's accounting and audit experience he has worked predominantly in audit, servicing a wide range of clients including large proprietary, listed and unlisted public companies, Government/Public Sector organisations and incorporated associations and co-operatives. Derek has also completed special investigatory examinations, due diligence reporting and other assurance services for clients.
Derek sits on the WHK Audit Advisory Committee for Australia and New Zealand and completes the majority of the Group's Audit Peer Reviews. This process involves assessing each practice against best process as well as identifying opportunities for improvement in the areas of profitability, staffing, risk assessment and work methodologies.
