WHK client Jeff Bidstrup wins Australia Day Award.

Monday, 15 February 2010

Client of WHK Dalby, Jeff Bidstrup was recently awarded the Western Downs Regional Council Citizen of the Year for his advocacy work and role as Chair of the Haystack Road Coal Committee - ‘Coal for breakfast group'.

Jeff Bidstrup has been a client of WHK Principal, Ken Laverty for nearly 4 decades.

During a presentation from the staff at WHK in Dalby, Jeff thanked all the WHK staff for their enduring friendship and support.

"Our business has grown from modest beginnings, and much of the reason for that is sound tax planning, sound personal financial advice, and the valuable advice of friends like you," Jeff said.

In cooperation with Future Foods Queensland, they seek to protect the world renowned, clean and green, premium food production capacity (iconic farmland) of Queensland from inappropriate mining developments.

Jeff's own property on Haystack Plain is under threat due to a coal mining development licence held by government owned, Tarong Energy Corporation.
